Matrix = Olivet's High School Student Ministry!

THURSDAY NIGHTS

Don't miss this great time of hanging with friends, games, music, and exploring faith.

Join us Thursdays from 6:30-8:00pm at Olivet. Hope to see ya! Last large group of school year will be on Thursday May 23rd.

We'll resume Matrix again on Thursday August 15th.

SMALL GROUP

Small groups provide the opportunity to explore the Bible and relationship with God in a fun and laid-back atmosphere. Make friends and find support from students on a similar journey of faith. Guys and girls meet Sundays from 6-7:30 at Olivet. We are taking a small break during the summer, but will plan to resume in July. Check back and/or watch your texts/emails for announcements!

SUNDAYSCOOL

We're continuing with our Sunday formations this Summer. Join us before church for a whirlwind rotation of music, Bible study, breakout groups and prayer trios. Meet in the sanctuary at 9:00am Sunday mornings at Olivet.

CONGRADULATION SUNDAY

Are you a senior in high school or college and getting ready to graduate? If so, we want to celebrate YOU on Sunday, May 19th during the worship service. Get together five to seven pictures to show the congregation during a slideshow and see Kristen or Chelsea for the details. Also, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, come to a celebration party for our amazing graduates in the gym!

Graduates include... Chelsea Schlitt, Olivia Roll, Matt Mills, Eric Hormuth, Joe Hayden, Tate Dremstedt, Paige Gray, & Chris Haywood. WooHoo!!

DANCE PARTY FOR JESSICA!

Lace up your loafers! Start brushing up your Shopping Cart, get ready for Gangnam Style, and definitely master The Robot cause on Sunday, May 19th from 6:00 - 8:00pm, we're gonna have a dance party to celebrate Jessica and her many years of AWESOME leadership as Student Ministries Director.

EPIC BACKPACKING

Hike deep into the Great Smoky Mountains, where God’s creation will awe and amaze you. We’ll carry everything we need on our backs as we venture into the wild. Top off the experience rafting class 4 white water rapids (optional).

MEXICO MISSION

Olivet has traveled as a group to support a pastor in Tijuana for 17 years. In conjunction with Olivet Men’s groups, we will serve the Lazaro Cardenas neighborhood by doing construction projects, youth outreach, VBS, and other work as needed.

We’ll have four mandatory formations Sunday afternoons in May.

Application and fundraising to defray $625 cost required.

High school students raised $474 and are sending a dairy cow to a family in need.

This gift will change a family's life and generations to come. Amazing

Between the Christmas Scavenger Hunt and matrifold's fundraising efforts, in total we donated $769.40 worth of life-giving animals to families in need this Christmas.

SUMMER MISSION

Can't say thank you enough for a job well done. Amanda and the Potter's Wheel, Donna and Angie at Ark, the Evansville Rescue Mission, St. Mary's, Kim and all the staff at Lincoln took the time to open our eyes and make this mission possible.

Our students did an AMAZING job serving joyfully and indiscriminately.

Thanks to Linda Murphy, Mike and Carol Fehr, our bodyguards Greg, Mike, and Mike.

And my sincere admiration and thanks to our team, who prayerfully and passionately began the journey many months ago and gave much for the goal of helping students understand Jesus' heart for the poor: Lisa and Larry, PDave, and Kelsey. You guys are amazing!
